This post is totally off the topic of business coaching. Or is it? I have a local friend who is participating in the Kansas City AIDS WALK and I posted about it on facebook asking friends to help push him over his goal. He didn’t ask me too do it. I did it because it’s a great cause and he’s a great guy. I know another guy, who I met once but instantly bonded with through some social activisim work fighting agaist some local injustices. Glen moved away from Kansas City and now lives in San Fransico. He is participating in the big bike ride. I’m not asking you to give money to a charity unless you just are so inclined but I am asking you to put your business hats on for a minute while you watch this video. Ask yourself (through the tears) if it moved you to action. We are always talking about a call to action in the sales cycle. How do you tap into your clients emotions? This tapped into mine. Granted I’m the guy that crys at the commercials of puppies and soldiers coming home at Christmas to suprise their families. So I’m a big ol emotional sap. I freely admit it. Although I’ll fight not to cry in front of you. So there is a learning lession here that you as a business owner need to take note of. How is your marketing touching your clients? The video has great editing and musical score and visual impact. Don’t overlook the marketing behind this!
So if you want to take a minute and give to Glen Jarvis’s goal please do so with the link below. http://www.tofighthiv.org/goto/glenjarvisAs you move forward in your own quest for better marketing to your clients. How do you connect with your clients/customers emotionally? I’ll upload a Pecha Kucha about emotional signage that I put on my facebook yesterday here since it is getting some comments from teachers telling me it was good.San Francisco-to-LA Bike Ride for AIDS
