Let me first give a few disclaimers.
- It’s not that I didn’t want to ask for directions in this story, I thought I had them.
I do think I’m smarter than the average new gadget I happen to buy. So who needs manuals? I say.
I recently purchased an iPhone–which most everyone who knows me already knows. So I’m using it to go to an open house the other night which by the way was amazing. If you haven’t checked out Quixotic make sure you do soon enough to get tickets to their shows in June.So I look at the directions on my iphone which has GPS and think I know where that is and I start off not looking at the iphone again till I’m almost there. Well by this time it somehow tells me to backtrack five miles. I know it’s wrong but I’m like ok I’ll see. Long story short arriving 45 minutes late we actually made it. It wasn’t the GPS on my phone that was wrong. It was how I was using it.Moral of the story: If you have a goal don’t take your eyes off it just cause you think you know what you’re doing.
