Kansas City Coaches receive recognition

Friday Dec. 5th was the monthly Heartland Coaches meeting held at the Kauffman foundation.

The following coaches were recognized and honored for their participation in a $5000 Service Grant that Heartland Coaches Association awarded to Good Samaritan Project earlier this year. This was the first public service project for the organization and was a huge success.

Heartland Coaches Strategic Planning meeting

Heartland Coaches Board of Directors will be holding a strategic planning meeting on Thursday to formulate what and how we wish to move forward in this next year.

The process will be held in Lawrence at Russ Russo’s home and facilitated by Rebecca Korphage.

Coach Training Programs

We had our first evening ICF Chapter meeting last week and discussed training programs. The 3 main programs discusssed were Fielding, College of Executive Coaching and Georgetown University.  The meeting had a great flow to it and excellent discssion followed. The main point of the evening was decide what it is you want and need from a coaching training program and then find one that meets not only those needs but is also certified by ICF.  To get a list of certified coaching programs you can go to ICF ACTP Programsto find them.  We are really enjoying meeting at the Kauffman foundation and being able to have food catered in.

Heartland Coaches

Heartland Coaches are gearing up for Coach awareness week Feb. 3-9, 2008 with big plans to award a massive grant to a non-profit organization to be announced in the near future.

January HCA meeting

Jan was a record breaking meeting with 45 coaches in attendance.  Way to start the year out great. We had returning to speak to our group Michael Charest who did a fantastic job.  We announced new officers from the nominations and voting done during the end of 2007.

Chuck Franks was elected as President
Deb Amandola was elected as President-elect
Jerry Smith was elected as Secretary
Maureen Purcell was elected as Treasurer
Sheri Mortko will stay on as Past President
