Job Hunting Seminar in Kansas City at Kauffman

Job Hunting Seminar in Kansas City at Kauffman

After being contacted by a local TV news reporter about doing an interview for a series he was doing I was inspired to actually give his viewers something more substantial than just a 2 minute blurb on the afternoon news. I decided to take it upon myself to organize something that individuals who were out of work could actually attend for free that could benefit them. I reached out to Communiversity and the Heartland Coaches Association (since I was President at the time that was kind of easy) and the Kauffman Foundation http://www.kauffman.org/ who provided the space.
Two of my main principles was
1) It had to be free
2) It would not be used to market (thus no names were collected in anyway.
3) We had to be positive and hopeful yet realistic.
I hope this is helpful. I got really nice feedback during the presentation.
Feel free to share with anyone who it might help.
