Better late than never

Hello web.  I first want to state that yes I did miss my Tuesday post as I said I would. Returning from the trip, scheduling a plumber to come, helping a friend shave his Chow, going grocery shopping all seemed to be more important.  The plumber was very nice and only charged me $177 to get the drain unclogged.  He is off to Vegas for the weekend so we had to schedule to have the floor drain replaced next week. Which will cost another $1200ish and I’m really OK with that. I’m not OK that I have to spend the money but I have to sit back and practice not only what I help my clients do but what I choose to do myself which is to focus on being grateful. I’m grateful I wasn’t involved in a car wreck on the long drive up to Michigan. I’m grateful we got to spend some really great quality time with family. I’m grateful that as dumb as I can be that the only problems I had from a bee sting was that my foot swelled up for a couple days and that I slept through a 3 hour conversation with my partners father.  Looking back I’m thinking maybe I should have gone to the doctor.  I haven’t been stung since I was 10 and turning hay bails on my grandparents farm.  I ended up passing out before I could get to the doctor that time. I’m grateful I have a roof over my head and that my mortgage payments are paid on time. My heart does ache for so many who are loosing their homes. I’m rambling as I often do but the bottom line is I Choose to look at life through hopeful eyes.

So in review. Stumbled on a goal but got back up.
Spent time with family and friends.
Plumber is nice guy who likes my money.
Still alive and kicking, although only with my left foot right now.
Glass is half full.
Great day to be alive.
