Yippee!!! My small geo-specific Kansas City, Missouri Coaching business became a popular place on Google Maps. 

I now have this really cool sticker on the front door. I almost threw it away because I’m a home based business and I thought it was tacky. However, the letter that accompanied the sticker said, that because Inner Strength Quest Coaching has had so many people requesting information about it’s business listing we have made you a Google Favorite Place on Google Maps. So I thought maybe I should read up on this and see just how much attention I should pay to it. Here is what I found….

As a customer, how much are you worth? How many dollar signs do you have on your forehead? 

Would you like to be treated according to how much you’re spending? Better yet, Do you treat people this way? Would you continue to go back to a place where your service is based solely on how much money you spend? I was inspired by my friend to write the following post about going above and beyond.

Dont’ ever be afraid to just be yourself.

Get involved, you never know who your going to meet. Here are some great people I met who had a great time this last Saturday at the AIDS Walk Open 2010.   

Let the stalking begin. Get ready. I’m on a mission. I plan on getting to know these people. I’ve always said networking is not about how many cards you hand out or collect, it’s about building relationships.

I am pushing the envelope on the open door policy I believe in. So going forward I will be allowing guest bloggers. Well of course there is a twist. Well, lets just say some parameters.

1) Don’t sell yourself, share something. I’m fine with this giving you a little publicity but showcase your talent not yourself Please.

2) All Kansas City small business are invited to share what they are doing.

3) Preference will be given to charitable organizations and events.

I attended my local International Coach Federation chapter meeting today. Heartland Coaches and I was surprised no one even mentioned that next week is International Coaches week. This is my first year of not serving on the board so I’m not as involved as I have been in the past.
